CI Pavement and our partnership with the National MS Society
This Summer, CI Pavement partnered with the National MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Society to help advance their national acclaimed fund raiser, the Bike MS Round-Up, in the greater North Texas area. Riding more than 150 miles in two days from Frisco to Sundance Square in Fort Worth, participants annually seeks to raise awareness and donations to further the work of the Society, fund critical research and assist those affected by the disease. A primary gold sponsor for the event, CI Pavement proctored a team dubbed the “Pavement Peddlers” to help fundraise and spread the word.
“Becoming a gold partner with the National MS Society was something that we have always wanted to do and we plan to continue our partnership with the MS Society into perpetuity,” said Vice-President of sales and marketing Rob Alderink. “This is truly a cause near and dear to our hearts.”
Multiple Sclerosis
As a disease, Multiple sclerosis is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. Symptoms range from numbness and tingling to blindness and eventual paralysis. It affects more than 2.3 million Americans regardless of sex, race or gender including family members of CI Pavement employees.
Riding Miles and Curing Diseases
At CI Pavement, philanthropy is part of what we do. Additionally, we are constantly looking for new philanthropic opportunities that span many different causes, sometimes driven by our employee’s suggestions.
Whether it’s raising money to support those in need, or providing striping or pavement services for a church or facility that supports nonprofit work, CI Pavement is always looking for ways to give back.
